Basic Function

The Sr. Manager/Director of Modules Procurement will lead and support the development of large-scale renewable projects across the U.S. This position will report to the VP of Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, vendor qualification, competitive procurement solicitations, contract negotiations and execution.  The position will support various other function groups within SB Energy including the Strategy & Investments, Development, Engineering, Capital Markets, and Construction Management.


Responsibilities

  • Implement world-class sourcing and supply chain teams, including equipment sourcing, logistics & planning and data analytics team
  • Pipeline planning: Negotiations of multi-year supply agreements with strategic vendors, including major equipment contracts
  • Scale supply chain related infrastructure, including spend forecasting, road mapping, and system-level value analysis.
  • Implement supply chain tools; procure pay, cost analysis, etc.
  • Track policy changes regarding equipment sourcing; ITC (Investment Tax Credit) section, section 201/301/232 changes. Establish related risk mitigation plans based on the policy changes.
  • Domestic sourcing strategy planning of modules, GSUs, trackers, inverter and other major equipment used at facility.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in renewable energy with 5+ years specific to supply chain management responsibilities including contracts, procurement, and market analysis.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to lead diverse project teams in multiple regions.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Experience and expertise with SCM management, commodity sourcing, MS Office (word, excel), MS Project, and PowerPoint.

 

Travel Requirements

Location: San Francisco Bay Area; Phoenix, AZ; preferred but not required. Open to remote work.


The position requires up to 10% domestic travel.


Base Pay - $140,000 - $190,000


Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, certifications, specific work location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Base pay may vary per location due to differences in the cost of living.

The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual discretionary bonus, full Health & Wellness Benefits package, generous Long Term Incentive plan designed with our partnership mentality in mind, and other applicable incentive perks as outlined in any formal offer made. The final compensation package will be discussed with the candidate during the final stages of the hiring process.
