Senior Vice President, Digital Product

This Position 

GreenBiz is looking for a full-time Senior Vice President, Digital Products to lead the vision, strategy and successful execution of our digital strategy and product portfolio while positioning us at the center of professional communities confronting the climate crisis. This is a hands-on position that will lead a digital team and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to create and deliver best-in-class digital products. A successful candidate has a proven track record of success in launching and managing digital media products. Further, they will possess a passion for building community, a natural sense of curiosity, comfort with ambiguity and a commitment to using data and analytics to constantly iterate and improve on product offerings and processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, development, execution and P&L management of GreenBiz Group’s digital strategy and product portfolio, including:
  • Editorial website (GreenBiz.com)
  • Newsletters
  • Sponsored content
  • Digital subscriptions
  • Webcasts
  • Podcasts
  • Online learning and certification
  • Video
  • Collaborate closely with key departments and stakeholders:
  • Editorial and Analysts - Work with the content team to shape strategy for best-in-class content, leveraging a variety of digital platforms
  • Sales - Develop monetization and revenue models and grow revenue streams for digital products, including sponsorship, enterprise subscriptions and advertising
  • Marketing - Co-create audience development strategy and KPIs to drive growth and engagement
  • Manage internal digital team, external development resources and consultants
  • Oversee the development of a Customer Data Platform in collaboration with the Database Director, outside consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Identify new digital product opportunities, including development of business plans, go-to-market strategies and technical requirements
  • Participate as key stakeholder in evolving GreenBiz Group’s online event strategy

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience launching, managing and evaluating the success of digital media products
  • Experience creating, scaling, and distributing content for highly targeted audiences, while using data and analytics to continuously make strategic optimizations
  • Experience in building and delivering successful digital revenue models
  • Deep understanding of digital media platforms and industry best-practices
  • Proven track record of success in building collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to co-create content, sales and audience engagement strategies
  • Exceptional communication with strong writing, speaking and interpersonal skills
  • An ambitious, creative personality, with a can-do attitude
  • Quick thinking, learning and problem-solving capability
  • Flexibility in a constantly evolving environment
  • Strong attention to detail with proven project management, time management and multitasking skills
