ESG Acquisition Assessment Associate

Remote Dallas, TX

Qualifications


The Acquisition Assessment Associate will support the Sustainability Service teams on all ESG property acquisitions for our clients.

This position requires a self-motivated individual that is detail oriented, comfortable with numbers, and with strong technical inclination. This organized person remains flexible with changing priorities and is able to multitask efficiently. The ideal candidate takes initiative and is a true team player who supports the team leader, manager and other team members. Candidates with experience in sustainability is preferred.


About the Job (Responsibilities)

  • Communicate with real estate acquisition teams to obtain property level information
  • Assess new commercial real estate acquisitions for ESG opportunities and risk
  • Incorporate potential action items to underwrite and budget from an ESG perspective
  • Manage ESG acquisition assessments completion from initial client reach out to sending final assessment to the client
  • Coordinate with internal team members to gather necessary information to complete the assessment
  • Research and understand potential ESG factors that may impact the new real estate acquisition
  • Track the list of acquisitions internally
  • Inform accounting department to invoice clients on completed acquisition assessments


Requirements (Specifications)

Required

  • 4-year college degree
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Proficient in PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented, analytically-inclined
  • Self-motivated quick learner
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Takes initiative and shows accountability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion in sustainability and green buildings


Preferred

  • Degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, architecture, business, real estate or other related fields
  • 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Experience and knowledge in the commercial real estate industry
  • Knowledge of the green building industry
