BlueLabs’ new Sustainability Practice sits within our Client Solutions Team, and is responsible for leading BlueLabs’ client engagements within the rapidly growing sustainability sector and diversifying BlueLabs’ client base and revenue. The Sustainability Practice will complement BlueLabs’ pioneering work among Fortune 500 companies, leading foundations, and startup ventures, where we specialize in influencer analytics, persuasion modeling, and experimental design. We are a fast-moving group that works collaboratively to develop custom solutions and explore new tools and approaches for our clients. About the Role

In this exciting role, you’ll launch and lead BlueLabs’ Sustainability Practice, leveraging your subject matter expertise and BlueLabs’ pioneering analytics to bring new data-driven solutions to clients in the sustainability sector. This is a client-facing, strategic, roll your sleeves up role requiring a mix of leadership, analysis and communication. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing a revenue strategy in collaboration with BlueLabs’ leadership team, qualifying business leads, managing relationships with clients, and leading a matrixed team in the successful execution of client projects.

As an advisor and strategist, you’ll be looking at the big picture, while also working closely with a team of analysts, engineers and data scientists to understand and explain the data that drives key insights. You’ll be framing the questions our team answers and identifying and communicating the trends you and other team members see to clients. This role suits someone comfortable with the strategic ability to navigate client needs along with the desire to work with and communicate about the data.

This position reports to the Managing Director.

  • You have strong and broad technical communication skills - you can write for a technical audience, but you can also boil down a model, experiment, or engineering solution to an elevator pitch for a campaign manager or CEO to understand.
  • You are proactive about building strong and lasting relationships, and maintaining a network of contacts within the sustainability field.
  • You’re comfortable being a connector between worlds - you can relate to an analyst who is focused on her research, and with a client who needs to make time constrained decisions on a budget.
