As Director, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Advisory, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of research, operational and analytical tasks to support Georgeson’s ESG advisory services. We work with companies across market caps and industries on a variety of ESG mandates. You will work directly with high-level client contacts externally as well as internally to identify and evaluate ESG issues for clients, including producing research content and client deliverables, and supporting clients’ engagements with institutional investors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for environmental, social and/or corporate governance matters to develop and contribute to a leading ESG advisory practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Support team members with data collection and analysis from a range of sources, including public disclosures, third party data sources and proprietary internal systems.
- Act as a project manager to coordinate all aspects of the client engagement and manage client delivery timeline.
- Assist with client ESG report development, including collecting, synthesizing and summarizing content for inclusion in reports, content development, editing and maintaining back up data files
- Demonstrate issue-specific expertise to act as a resource internally and externally on ESG matters
- Together with other team members, help lead stakeholder engagement interviews to source new or underreported ESG data and information
- Identify emerging ESG topics and best practices.
- Together with the ESG advisory team, develop product and services offerings
- Collaborate with marketing and communications colleagues to create user-friendly, visually appealing presentations, reports, articles, dashboards and infographics.
