Are you a self-starter with a successful track record developing projects from conception through implementation? 

The City of Bainbridge Island seeks candidates for a new position to support implementation of the City’s Sustainable Transportation Plan and transportation-related elements of the Climate Action Plan. The Sustainable Transportation Coordinator will develop and implement multi-modal transportation programs and partner with a diverse group of stakeholders in a small, highly-engaged community.

The Sustainable Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of various programs and policies related to implementing the City’s Sustainable Transportation Plan (STP) and other forms of sustainable transportation. The Sustainable Transportation Coordinator is expected to understand the relationship between the STP and the City’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) and will seek to implement programs or projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance environmental sustainability. A key measurement will be the reduction of vehicle miles travelled by fossil fuel powered vehicles and promotion of alternative and active modes of transportation.
