About Carbonfuture Inc.

Your role & responsibilities

The supply of removal credits needs to be scaled up quickly with dramatic potential across North America. As a US Supply Manager you apply your effective negotiation skills to recruit suppliers and play a key consulting role to them to help them scale their carbon removal projects. You will furthermore conduct supplier due diligence, - a key ingredient of our Trust Infrastructure towards carbon removal buyers - and apply your technical knowledge on carbon removal, as well as financial analysis of the projects’ business plans.

On Carbonfuture’s platform, you will work as part of our Global Supply team, home on both sides of the Atlantic, and work closely with our Head of Supply based in Switzerland and with our Head of US Supply.

What you'll do

  • Identify new suppliers and projects across different types of durable removals, both maturing (e.g., biochar) and frontier removal approaches (e.g. BECCS, Enhanced Weathering, CO2 injection concrete).
  • Build networks and relationships with carbon removal partners and the greater ecosystem in the US, including companies, associations, agencies, etc.
  • Manage the pipeline and delivery performance of removal projects with help of Carbonfuture’s platform.
  • Offer reliable and efficient support for our supplier partners towards the issuance of certified removal credits.
  • Become an expert user of Carbonfuture’s digital platform: manage removals and credits, onboard suppliers to the platform, guide suppliers on new features, and give detailed feedback to the product team.
  • Conduct supplier due diligence, which involves reputational, financial, and environmental risk assessment.
  • Support communication with large corporate partners, including presenting removal projects and becoming an expert for the existing removal methodologies.
  • Support the development and integration of new carbon removal methodologies and further build relationships with standards organizations.
  • Represent Carbonfuture at conferences, associations, policy, and lobby groups.
  • Contribute and actively exchange with the scientific and/or policy community.

What you bring to the table

  • You have more than 2 years professional experience in environmental technologies, carbon markets and/or greenhouse gas emission strategies or related fields.
  • You have experience in managing partner relationships.
  • You understand carbon accounting standards and the logic behind them.
  • You have high tolerance for environments that are actively evolving and dynamic - you can tap into your adaptability to navigate the needs of a fast-growing startup within the complex carbon removal industry.
  • You are a skillful and compelling communicator.
  • You are persistent and have a strong bias to action.
  • You love to travel. (Who doesn’t like seeing carbon removal tech in action?)

Bonus points if...

  • You have experience with conducting due diligence.
  • You are proficient with written and spoken Spanish.
