TITLE: Sustainability Communications Account Manager
JOB TYPE: Full time
REPORTS TO: Sr. Director of Client Services
LOCATION: Washington D.C. - Physical office is located in the heart of Georgetown; flexibility to work remotely as necessary due to pandemic
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least 3 years of agency or in-house experience. This is NOT an entry level position.
SALARY: Mid $40K - Low $50K annually depending on experience

Our small but mighty communications firm is seeking a Sustainability Communications Account Manager with the ability to understand and simplify complex scientific, legislative, and regulatory concepts and policy issues. We’re looking for a team player who is ready to dig in and make the magic happen, serving as the “boots on the ground” to deliver outstanding results for our blue-chip clients, many of whom are leaders in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

What You’ll Do:

Serve as an integral member of the team addressing the varied and changing needs of our clients’ business and executing programs that address strategic objectives.

Troubleshoot and address issues before they become problems, and offer solutions; ensure flawless execution of day-to-day client activities and deliverables.

Have a strong eye for detail and quality in order to deliver client-ready correspondence, communications content, materials and products.

Lead the charge on developing the social media channels for the agency and elevating the online profile of the agency.

Stay on top of changing societal and policy trends in sustainability.
Participate in new business development and help grow new capabilities for the agency.

What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of in-house or agency experience. This is not an entry-level position.

Fluency or familiarity with the Sustainable Development Goals and sustainability influencers and newsmakers.

Passion for client service and an ability to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities.

Demonstrated tactical proficiency in writing, content development, traditional and digital media, project management, presentation development, and other industry competencies.

High fluency in Microsoft Office products is a must.

Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills.

Poise and calm under pressure and a desire to immerse yourself in a client's business to become a true partner.

Proven business etiquette in both meetings and written client communications.
