GreenBiz Group is currently seeking a full-time Strategic Programs Coordinator. The company currently has 25 full-time employees and is expanding our reach and developing new services – our events being a primary function of the company’s growth and impact. The Strategic Programs Coordinator must be able to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and work collaboratively in an office environment. This position will report to the Conference Manager with a dotted line to VP & Executive Director, VERGE.
Responsibilities for the Strategic Programs Coordinator will include but are not limited to:
-Identifying and recruiting potential speakers, sessions and topics for VERGE, GreenBiz, and Circularity conferences
-Managing recruitment and logistics for strategic programs across GreenBiz events, including the VERGE Summit Series, VERGE Accelerate and Startup Showcase, VERGE Interconnect Expo and Microgrid
-Contributing to the identification and execution of new special programs across GreenBiz events, like technology showcases and community engagement efforts
-Managing program details in Salesforce, Google docs, Cvent (event registration system) and the GreenBiz.com Content Management System
-Managing updates to the GreenBiz.com events website and conference apps, both before and after events
-Supporting internal operational activities, including scheduling calls and setting up meetings
-Supporting onsite logistics during events for strategic programs
-Competitive research and analysis on conferences in the VERGE, GreenBiz, and Circularity domains
-Media research and outreach for VERGE, GreenBiz and Circularity conferences
-BA or equivalent required
-A dynamic, go-getter, creative personality, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
-Excellent communicator with strong writing and interpersonal skills
-Strong attention to detail with exceptional time management, organizational and multitasking skills, practicing care in handling sensitive information
-Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, demonstrating initiative, accountability and ownership of assigned tasks
-Ability to work internally with colleagues within and beyond the conference team, including sales and marketing, and externally with customers and partners outside of GreenBiz
-Quick thinking, learning, and problem-solving capability
-Flexibility in a constantly evolving environment
-Proficiency in MS Office tools including Word and Excel, and generally strong computer skills. Experience with Salesforce and ----Google Apps (Drive, Sites, etc.) strongly preferred.
-A proven professional or personal commitment to sustainability
-Experience in sustainability, marketing, communications, PR a plus
-Knowledge of GreenBiz and familiarity with our website, www.greenbiz.com
