Position summary:
The new RA strategy requires the delivery of open, business relevant data, globally. The project manager works in an international cross-functional environment to deliver and rollout a functional, new global accounting system (and supporting technology) to the Rainforest Alliance within 12 months. The project manager provides ongoing support after implementation and delivery. The project manager is a senior position within the Finance & Administration team, empowered to drive change in finance and accounting processes to support the global rollout of a new accounting system.

Deliver new accounting systems and training to NY and AMS (Phase 1), all RA global locations (Phase 2), and provide ongoing support (Phase 3)
Responsible for cross-matrix coordination of all project phases: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring / controlling, and closing. Manage project governance.
Facilitate business requirements gathering sessions to identify, document and analyze business rules that govern the new accounting and related financial systems
Coordinate with RA teams (technology, supply chain, programs, regions) along with external organizations to identify & implement process improvements
Document financial processes and workflows using visual diagrams and manuals
Design accounting/coding structure to support global accounting system and reporting needs
Select, and procure accounting systems and managing implementing vendors/consultants
Rollout accounting system and integrate related financial systems (time, expense, invoicing)

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MIS, business, or financial technology. MBA or PMP a plus
Minimum 5 years accounting experience at manager level
3 years managing and implementing financial systems
International NGO / Social Enterprise experience preferred
Strong leadership, strategic, organization development and communications skills;
Ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact and function as a facilitator;
Willingness and ability to travel 25-30% of the time to major domestic and international operating locations;
Language (Dutch, Spanish) proficiency a plus
