Position Description

ACORE seeks a marketing professional who is nimble, creative, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about ACORE’s mission. The Marketing Associate will work to grow the visibility of ACORE’s membership and events through email marketing and social media. While part of the membership and events team, the Marketing Associate will collaborate closely with the communications and programs teams to develop marketing calendars and plans. Successful candidates should be able to multitask, possess strong communication skills, and be ready to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

This position is based in Washington, DC though all staff are currently working remotely due to COVID-19.

Key Job Duties

• Support ACORE’s membership and events teams through the planning, drafting, scheduling and tracking of various marketing efforts, including email and social media campaigns, various event collateral, and content marketing
• Create innovative and effective marketing plans for our membership and events efforts
• Manage and maintain marketing data in Salesforce and Mailchimp
• Coordinate the design of materials and collateral for conferences and events (invitations, programs, postcards, signage, etc.)
• Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent voice
• Assist with developing and managing content for social media marketing programs,
• Assist with developing digital ad campaigns, specifically via paid social media and Google Ads
• Assist with keeping the events and membership sections of the website up to date
• Evaluate and monitor marketing performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related degree preferred, but not required
• 1-3 years of experience in advertising, marketing, communications or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills; Experience with both email and social media copy writing preferred
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills and ability to work with various members of different teams;
• Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
• Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports
• Experience with Canva, Salesforce, Wordpress, Google Ads and Mailchimp or similar email marketing platform preferred; Experience with additional design programs and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
