What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll join a dynamic, high-performing Health and Sustainability team who will encourage you to grow professionally and personally. You will work with your team, leaders and other stakeholders in the organization to make valuable recommendations and influence positive change; all to help our Company achieve our purpose ~ Eat Well, Save Time, Live Better.

You'll work with Corporate Strategy associates to:

Cross-functionally help shape successful business plans and strategic decisions through the assessment of each brand's current environment and marketplace
Develop strategic recommendations for Ahold Delhaize USA's brands
Share analysis, viewpoints and rationales in team discussions
Assist with various ad hoc analysis, reporting and presentation development, often in partnership with our brands, US- and National Leadership, and third parties
In addition, you'll also work with key stakeholders on:

high-value initiatives and strategies, creating business cases, financial models, and key analytics in support of critical work
Manage regional level health & sustainability strategy creating alignment between brands, RBS and PDL to deliver 3-year plans in support of the 5 and 10 year health & sustainability strategy
Create and deliver memos that require formal correspondence between the US and GSO to inform decision making, document points of view and create a record of decision making
Own and drive an innovation pipeline across all four pillars of the health & sustainability strategy, providing marketplace scans for innovation and evaluating third party partnership opportunities
Create presentations to help drive key initiatives that require alignment on critical issues necessitating storytelling within presentations.
Create and maintain period scorecard reporting for USLT and brands (including EPMO) as well as quarterly ESG scorecard reporting for GSO and Exco
What We’re Looking For

You’ll Need To Have

Critical thinking skills - use independent thought to obtain information and analyze complex situations
Effective communication skills - convey information and ideas concisely; both verbally and in writing
3-4 years of corporate strategy, process execution in grocery retail industry/and or consulting industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree and relevant business experience
The Ideal Candidate Will Also Have

Financial Acumen - the ability to evaluate the impact o a business decision on the business' financial statements, and financial wellbeing in the long term
Business Acumen - the ability to understand organizational processes and objectives as well as obtain organizational insight through effective relationships
Influence/Persuasion - the ability to collaborate with others to remove organizational barriers and use persuasive techniques to reach consensus
Preferably, a portfolio with examples of past decks that display
Experience in and/or passion for retail
