Job Description

Position Summary:

The Manager of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reports to the Vice President, Treasurer and is responsible for creating, integrating, and managing Masonite’s Sustainability and ESG programs across the business. This position works with internal and external constituents to influence the business to drive improving metrics across sustainability and ESG measures. The candidate must excel at engaging in multi-disciplinary collaboration and bring passion, curiosity and enthusiasm to tackle complex challenges.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and project manage the ESG/sustainability reporting strategy, annual reporting process and ongoing material issues assessment
Respond to key ESG surveys, inquiries and ratings agencies (MSCI, ISS, Sustain analytics, Bloomberg, etc.)
Perform due diligence and regular monitoring of ESG metrics, working with Internal Audit and 3rd parties on data validation
Maintain inventory support for ESG publicly reported metrics
Collaborate with internal experts to create ESG content development
Support the ESG Executive Steering Committee
Manage website content development and maintenance for ESG/Sustainability
Identify emerging ESG trends and incorporate them into Masonite's ESG strategy
Assist with multi-year ESG roadmap development and execution
Perform peer analysis and identify benchmarking indicators
Assist with ESG target setting and implementation of best practices
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

6+ years of professional experience in ESG Sustainability at a publicly traded manufacturing company (will consider relevant agency experience)
3+ years’ experience organizing/coordinating multiple projects in a project management role
A working knowledge of leading ESG frameworks; SASB, TCFD, CDP, etc.,
Experience with ESG rating organizations and ranking schemes
Sustainability reporting experience, with a successful track record of helping to build strategies
CDP or climate change reporting experience
Materiality analysis experience
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage diverse stakeholders
Excellent project management, organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and finding creative solutions to complex challenges
Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to adapt to different formats (press releases, annual reports, website, etc.)
Experience working with multiple organizational levels including executive leadership teams
Availability for 10% travel, depending on key initiatives (please note, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only business-essential travel is currently permitted)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sustainability/Environmental Management or related field
Strong functional skills using PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Preferred:
Master’s Degree or Post Graduate work in Business, Sustainability/Environmental Management or related field
Fundamental of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential or equivalent
Ability to provide high-quality collaboration in a matrix structure with a track record of exceeding expectations
Building products industry experience

Preferred: Master’s Degree or Post Graduate work in Business, Sustainability/Environmental Management or related field
