Education Advisory & Member Services Associate

Role Summary
The (Sr.) Education Advisory & Member Services Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day support of member service requests and research and benchmark data supporting member needs and up to three industry affinity groups. This includes preparing written materials and presentations for up to 12 quarterly affinity group meetings, conference programs, and periodic calls and meetings. Will support the Directors and Executive Director in preparation for meetings, and on planning and executing business at hand.
The (Sr.) Education Advisory & Member Services Associate will also develop outreach programs for the broader corporate member population to cultivate their interests in supporting the Center’s programs.

Reporting Relationship
Director of Education and Advisory Products

The (Sr.) Education Advisory & Member Services Associate supports the Center’s member services programs and must be familiar with the Center’s research, knowledge products, and with the practice of Corporate Citizenship and research topics related to the practice. With guidance from the Directors, the Associate is responsible for drafting memoranda, reports, and white papers, comparative analyses, and briefing and repackaging of existing knowledge products for members and member groups. The associate provides support to directors and others in the course of member service and advisory service projects.

Essential Functions
50% - Responsible for the producing work product for member-service requests.
20% - Work with the Center management team on the coordination of affinity group programming
20% - Package research and content for marketing and member products
10% - Other duties as assigned

Decision Making and Problem Solving
The (Sr.) Education Advisory & Member Services Associate will help to prioritize the research products and will help to identify useful formats to deliver content to members

Describe the types of problems and major challenges encountered on an ongoing basis and provide examples (e.g., situations that require the independent exercise of judgment and creative thinking).

The (Sr.) Education Advisory & Member Services Associate will help to evaluate competing priorities regarding program direction in a strategic fashion. He or she must also think creatively to ensure that Center events are run efficiently and effectively.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with CRM and LMS software; social media platforms.

Education/Training and Certification, Licensure, Registration Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Masters preferred.

The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator—both written and oral. An interest in corporate citizenship is required. Familiarity with social science research formats and the ability to aggregate and translate content from technical jargon to American English is required. The successful candidate will be very organized, detail oriented, and able to juggle competing priorities. Must work well in a fast-paced office environment and be able to support business people from the executive to the manager level. Event planning, development or volunteer management experience is a plus. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines; excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills including public speaking when necessary; an ability to work well with volunteers in a fast paced environment. Weekend and evening work is required. Some travel is required to meet job responsibilities. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; and CRM and LMS software and social media platforms, is strongly preferred. Must be a mature team player who is highly motivated and dedicated to the goals of advancing the practice of corporate citizenship and the continuing education of corporate citizenship professionals.
