Arbonne International has put a stake in the ground to commit to becoming a socially responsible corporation. The vision is to become a certified B-Corporation, but the journey to achieve this is equally important. Beyond the certification, Arbonne’s passion is to embody what it means to be a socially responsible organization committed to providing a positive impact for employees, communities, and the environment.
This is no small responsibility and one that will require a special candidate that will be empowered to lead the charge.
This is a newly created position that will be responsible for building a Corporate Sustainability and Social Impact function working collaboratively across all disciplines to ensure a 360 view of sustainability and social impact is considered starting from product innovation, supply chain to marketing and everything in between
A critical strategic goal will be to lead the company to achieve B-certification status within the next 18-24 months.
Create a Sustainability and Social Impact vision and strategic plan.
Lead a small team to foster quality innovation and execution of the vision
Influence and lead cross-functional teams
Create plans and programs to educate employees about CSR programs and to motivate their engagement with and participation in these programs
Define in partnership with internal stakeholders and executive management CSR programs across the supply chain
Develop and manage all communications and messaging regarding CSR programs, as well as monitoring and reporting results
Develop and publish annual CSR and Sustainability report
Develop and expand relationships in connection with the Arbonne Charitable Foundation and community partners
Work with facilities across the globe to identify, execute and report on all environmental improvements that can be made to offices
Collaborate with communication teams to promote CSR and sustainability initiatives to stakeholders, including potential and current employees, customers, investors, press and social media
Be a thought leader by continually learning, being an influencer and engaging in community outreach.
Collaborate and share best practices with the parent company, Groupe Rocher.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability or business.
7 -10 years of experience executing corporate social responsibility and sustainability programs; corporate philanthropy is a plus.
Experience leading people and cross functional teams is required.
Previous experience either leading or being part of a team that achieved B-Corp Certification is a plus.
Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders.
Effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
Strategic thinker able to identify and champion new ideas and approaches.
Prior experience with CSR/Sustainability reporting and LEED certification is strongly preferred
Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive recommendations to senior management.
A detail-oriented work ethic while handling multiple ongoing projects/tasks is required.
Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible
Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel – 5% and represent CSR at Community and global conferences
