The Director, Campus Planning and Sustainability reports functionally to the AVP Financial Planning and Operations. The Director, Campus Planning and Sustainability is the institutional expert with respect to planning and in that capacity is responsible for the planning of the physical development of the campus. The Director, supported by two coordinators is also responsible for the vision and advancement fostering a culture of sustainability across campus operations. The Director, Campus Planning and Sustainability works in partnership with a wide range of campus and community interests and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in community planning or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. S/he will have a membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners and will have a broad range of experience, including a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive work experience, including 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity. S/he will be a strategic leader with advanced project management and problem-solving skills, with experience operating in a complex environment and across diverse stakeholders.
