Sierra Club, America’s oldest and most effective grassroots environmental organization, is expanding its HR team by hiring a Deputy HR Director, Employee Relations. This person will be part of the HR leadership team and will report to the Director of Human Resources. In collaboration with the Deputy HR Director, Labor Relations, this person will act as the owner for all employee relations matters in the organization. They will mentor and manage the HR Partner team who work with leaders across our organization to identify, develop, and deliver HR initiatives to their client groups. To be successful in this role, candidates should have at least 10 years of progressive HR experience that includes significant experience leading HR Partner professionals and a demonstrated ability to provide strategic guidance on building organizational effectiveness, manage complex employee relations issues and workplace investigations. Prior experience leading the HR Partner function within an organization is preferred. This position will be based in our headquarters in Oakland, California.
