The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program drives stewardship across Economic, Social & Governance (ESG) areas. The Strategic Program Manager works within the Corporate Affairs team to identify and execute a range of projects and programs to achieve the CSR strategy. In addition they organize company efforts to meet corporate key performance indicators, and facilitates the implementation of sustainable business tactics and builds teams and strategies to meet best practices across the enterprise. The Strategic Program Manager provides timely, convincing, relevant and technically sound ESG & financial analysis that assists end-users in evaluating and implementing corporate environmental performance and that supports business decision making.



The Strategic Program Manager represents the department cross-divisionally as a subject matter expert and helps identify connections between CSR metrics, leaders, business initiatives, cross-divisional dependencies, and the business scorecards. The Strategic Program Manager reports to the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and works with leadership and employees across divisions and occasionally with external participants such as consultants, contractors, non-governmental organizations, customers and other stakeholders.





JOB REQUIREMENTS:



Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 Lead and execute approved projects within the CSR program for Avnet.

 Identify opportunities and build the business case for improving Avnet’s CSR performance.

 Manage and facilitate the cross functional teams that will build out programs, policies, processes and guidelines across the CSR plan. Obtain buy-in from across the company, the sustainability team and other stakeholders as appropriate.

 Respond to requests for information from internal and external parties to approved guidelines. Builds and coordinates a strong central communication process for customer inquiries and responses.

 Assist in producing the monthly business scorecard, which includes a review of YTD metrics and forecasts.

 Supports leaders across the enterprise to develop track and report on CSR goals and metrics.

 Supports Avnet employee engagement programs to encourage employees and other stakeholders to engage with CSR programs.

 Coordinates with many to produce the annual CSR report, other occasional reporting, awards, surveys and deliverables for external benchmarking & recognition.

 Assist with activities of the Corporate Affairs team team as requested including working on special research projects, responding to budgeting inquiries, maintaining information on program partners and standard approved external responses.



Preferable Qualifications & Experience:

 Demonstrated knowledge of sustainable business principles and experience related to operational implementation and practice in a business setting. Experience with CERES, GRI, CDP, DJSI and other relevant CSR frameworks.

 Minimum of three years of proven project leadership, preferably in a cross-functional environment with proven experience in environmental data analysis, managing project timelines, budgets, and planning.

 BS or BA required, MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.

 Demonstrated business analysis, financial analysis, and administrative skills including proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

 Experience with statistical analysis and systems thinking preferred.

 Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy, work independently with a minimum of direction, use of influence rather than authority, use of sound judgment & problem-solving skills, and effectively prioritize projects and assignments with limited supervision.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. May present and or speak with media on approved requests.

 Demonstrated attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and thoroughness.

 Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and effectively manage and meet multiple, simultaneous deadlines with minimum assistance.

Work Experience:

Typically 3-5 years with bachelor's or equivalent or 1-3 years with master's
Education and Certification(s):

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
