The Core Markets Officer will provide input and support the implementation of business development plans in Core Markets by developing and executing account plans and market activities as part of the overall business development plan. S/he will support priority activities implemented by the Core Markets team.
Implement market and advocacy activities as part of the core market business development plan (events, campaigns);
Gather knowledge and analyze information relevant to the core markets and geographic goals (sustainability and market trends, segment information);
Develop and manage account plans for relevant accounts in the core markets;
Support key accounts in the implementation of Rainforest Alliance programs and services;
Work with other departments on developing and implementing account plans;
Work with colleagues in Sectors and Customer Experience departments to gather and analyze information to design and implement priority activities;
Work closely with field representatives from main countries supplying Rainforest Alliance products to core markets by developing information and initiatives relevant to that core market;
Implement business development activities in Core Markets (event coordination, campaign design and implementation, newsletter, general communications with key sectors);
Create and monitor account plans and goals for key accounts in designated country; and
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, agriculture, international development, environmental studies;
3 years of experience working with accounts and relevant stakeholders in country;
Experience in supply chain management; and
Second language – to communicate with supply chain relevant to Core Market (Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc).
Commensurate with experience.
