Client Relationship Manager - Sustainable Business & Communities Posted May 15

Job Purpose:
Support the leadership of the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business (ACSB) and the Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain (CSLS) in refining and executing an industry engagement strategy and help to identify and cultivate key relationships that result in:
- Curricular and professional opportunities for our students via courses, research, internships, coops, and jobs
- Joint learning platforms with practitioners to share information and best practices on selected sustainability topics
- Executive Education, open enrollment, and potential certificate offerings in sustainability
- Partnerships to execute sustainability initiatives in the region and beyond
- Connections for applied faculty research

Major Responsibilities:
-Work with ACSB/CSLS leadership to develop and implement business partnership strategy
-Identify/expand network contacts and build relationships to translate Scheller, CSLS, and other relevant GT initiatives into industry value propositions
-Assist with development of supporting outreach and communication materials
-Liaise with career services to raise student awareness of company-sponsored internships, coops, and job opportunities
-Represent ACSB and CSLS at local events that are aligned with industry engagement objectives
-Support ACSB and CSLS leadership in achieving long term corporate affiliation objectives (Advisory Boards, funding opportunities, etc.)
-Help navigate administrative needs to codify formal industry agreements and partnerships (NDAs, etc.)
-Other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field
Work Experience: At least four to five years job related experience
Certifications: N/A
Skills: This job requires skills in developing and maintaining positive customer relationships, specialized educational program content design and delivery, project management and communications.

Preferred Work Experience: Experience with, or knowledge of, higher educational settings involving industry engagement.

Preferred Skills:
-Excellent interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to engage with a broad range of business disciplines (including and beyond sustainability)
-Organization / priority setting – self-starter who can take initiative, follow-up, and organize activities across SLS and ACSB thematic areas
-Communication – demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on sustainability content
-Facilitation – comfortable serving as a facilitator, organizing workshop agendas, conducting pre-work, and supporting execution
-Strategic thinker – ability to “connect the dots” between ACSB/SLS objectives and feedback received over time from business sector engagement
-Regional networks – knowledge of, and relationships with, business contacts in the US Southeast and Atlanta-based companies.

This shared position will report to the ACSB and CSLS Directors.

Department Description
The Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain (CSLS), is a unit in the Office of Undergraduate Education. The Center is leading the implementation of the 10-year Serve-Learn-Sustain Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) across the Georgia Tech campus. The Center works collaboratively with faculty, student, staff, community, and industry partners to integrate sustainable communities’ programs, curriculum, and learning experiences into undergraduate education and campus culture across all six Colleges.
The Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business (ACSB) empowers tomorrow’s leaders to create sustainable businesses and communities. The Center, founded in 2013, is part of the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech.
