The Business Development Manager is responsible for sales within an assigned territory and for growing year on year revenue and market share for an assigned territory. This position will assist with the strategy, development and management of sales activities. This position will also actively participate in the research and development of new areas of business, as well as expand
business with existing clients.
Manage and sell to key clients for territory of responsibility
Deliver effective sales presentations in person and over the web
Lead and/or provide support with RFPs and proposals
Consistently and accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual revenue
Build positive synergies with marketing, operations, and other key teams to maximize total return
Effectively resolve client issues
May assist with the development and implementation of training programs
Actively promote the company and its services through various tools
Evaluate competition relating to region of responsibility
Responsible for a personal revenue quota
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or directly related field
5+ of successful experience in a professional sales capacity, including a proven track record of new business development,
territory and/or individual account growth
Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to manage effectively in a face-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to deliver high level presentations to prospects and clients.
High degree of personal integrity and the ability to collaborate with others in a team based environment
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written formats and ability to listen effectively
Ability to promote an effective working relationship at all levels and create a positive work environment
Ability to promote the vision of the sales organization in a clear and concise manner
Proven experience as a valued contributor to the management team in strategically supporting the business through growth
Ability to conduct business across multiple time zones with at least 50% travel involved
