Compensation and Benefits

Classification: Regular, Full-time
Location: Any SunWize office location (Irvine-CA, Kingston-NY, Philomath-OR, Rancho Cucamonga-CA or San Jose-CA)
Primary Job Responsibilities
• Conduct structural analyses for commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic power projects
• Evaluate structural loads on solar array support structures and buildings resulting from wind, seismic and other sources
• Prepare foundation designs for solar arrays and related equipment
• Assist project managers by resolving technical issues relating to structural loading
• Evaluate array support structures
• Provide inspection and troubleshooting in the field
• Interface with civil works subcontractors and building authorities
• Prepare calculations and drawings for permitting and approvals in accordance with IBC and other applicable building codes
• Support sales and proposal activities
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience performing structural and/or civil engineering
• Experience performing structural evaluations of buildings preferred
• BS degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
• PE certification in Structural or Civil Engineering required
• California PE certification preferred
• Experience working in the commercial construction industry preferred
• A personal commitment to a safe working environment
• Strong computer application skills including MS Office Suite; Power Point, Excel and Word
• Competence in AutoCAD preferred
• Detail oriented, organized, with effective communication skills

• Occasional domestic travel may be required
