Basic Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of three years experience in writing nuclear maintenance procedures.
Core Competencies:
- Bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Typically possesses four or more years experience in the following technical fields, i.e., Instruments and Controls, Radiation Monitoring, HVAC, Test Technicians, Mechanical and/or Electrical maintenance performing analysis, consulting, and providing recommendations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear practices, planning of work documents and procedures.
- Demonstrate experience working with Operating License and commitments documentation (Technical Specifications, LCS, TQAM, and UFSAR).
- Proficient in WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
- ANSI N18.1-1971 requirements: Shall be competent in technical matters related to plant safety and other engineering and scientific support aspects.
- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
Comments:
Additional testing may be required as part of the selection process for this position. This posting will result in five openings.
Preferences:
Knowledge of SONGS Operating License and commitments documentation (Technical Specifications, LCS, ODCM, TQAM, and UFSAR). Demonstrated experience writing SONGS programs and procedures. Demonstrate expertise as an ERP Super User.
Experience with SAP Document Management Records management system.
Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will partner with department and division management to ensure changes and upgrades to Maintenance procedures are aligned with strategic objectives, developed appropriately and integrated effectively. Typical responsibilities include: Providing technical expertise to develop quality Maintenance procedures; Ensuring strategic alignment between process improvement metrics and customer group business goals; Ensuring Maintenance procedures are issued and processed on time to
support the division and client's maintenance work schedule; Ensuring program compliance with efficiency and craft requirements while maintaining procedural flexibility where necessary; Managing resources by prioritizing assignments based on commitment, plant need, and scheduled maintenance; Leading teams or participating as a team member during implementation of specialized technical projects; Assessing and providing written feedback to requesting organizations in a timely manner; Providing consultative services on an as-needed basis to department and division management, customers, and client organizations on specialized technical issues; Instructing and mentoring peers and others using the SAP system/program to improve business goals; performing other responsibilities as required.
