Energy Solutions was founded in 1995 to address climate change and sustainability issues through energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. As one of the leading consulting firms in our field, we specialize in energy efficiency program and project design, implementation, and marketing as well as solar and other renewable energy system feasibility studies, project development and financing and water conservation programs.

Energy Solutions currently has 60+ employees and is rapidly expanding our client base as well as developing new services. We are currently seeking a full time Energy Engineer to join our growing engineering group.

Responsibilities:
The Energy Engineer will work closely with project management and engineering staff in conducting, presenting, and/or overseeing all aspects of building energy studies (energy audits) in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. The Energy Engineer will also act as a client representative for energy efficiency and renewable energy construction projects.

Minimum qualifications:
• 3+ years of applicable building energy efficiency experience
• Field experience with building and site evaluations
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial building systems including HVAC, building automation and controls, lighting, building envelope, domestic water, motors and drives, as well as up-to-date knowledge on strategies for saving energy in those systems
• Firm grasp on analysis and calculation methodologies to assess Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) for the above systems, including financial evaluation models
• An engineering degree from an accredited university
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• The ability to work independently as well as within a team

Other desired qualifications are:
• Professional licensing (P.E.)
• Experience with renewable energy projects and /or mechanical construction projects
• Building simulation and energy modeling software skills
• Knowledge of building commissioning and retrocommissioning, industrial process equipment, and renewable energy projects
• Mentoring and training skills
